How I handle your information.
This notice explains what personal information KANAGAWA Consulting collects through this website, why, and the rights you have over it.
Who I am
KANAGAWA Consulting is run by Lana Abi Rached (trading as KANAGAWA Consulting), who is the controller of the personal information described here. You can contact me about anything in this notice at lana@kanagawa-consulting.com.
What I collect
- Contact form: your name, work email, organisation or project, the engagement format you choose, your description of the problem, and your target timeframe.
- Email: anything you include if you write to me directly.
- Technical data: my hosting provider records standard server information, such as IP addresses, to deliver the site and keep it secure.
This site does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers, and its fonts are served from this site rather than a third party.
Why I use it
I use your details only to reply to your inquiry and, if you wish, to discuss and arrange an engagement. The lawful bases are taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)) and my legitimate interest in responding to business inquiries (Article 6(1)(f)). I do not sell your information or add you to marketing lists.
Who processes it
- Netlify, Inc. hosts this website and receives contact form submissions. Netlify is based in the United States; where information is transferred outside the UK or EU, this relies on recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
- Microsoft Outlook, with the mailbox supplied through GoDaddy provides the mailbox where inquiries are received and answered.
How long I keep it
I keep inquiry details for 12 months after our last contact, unless we go on to work together, in which case they become part of the engagement records.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, to restrict or object to how I use it, or to receive a copy in a portable format. Email me and I will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
